His sapphire eyes were only the slightest bit playful, the energy had drained out of him. He was resting with his head on his paws on top of the cold rock that formed in to a cave. The noises of pack mates echoed along its walls. Val's ears twitched and he stretched. Fur rippling his monumental figure and his floccose fur showed strength as he did so. He tilted his head and his eyes sparked with a daunting hint to them. He shivered as the chill breeze blew. I wonder what the others are up to? he thought.

She heard the voices of her fellow pack mates, and the padding of their paws on the ground. Despite having energy, she didn't feel even the slightest bit motivated to do anything. She was zoned out, her ears standing at attention. Her coat with a mix of brown and black, danced in the light wind that blew in her direction. Blue, crisp, clear and curious eyes stared at her paws. Slowly she laid down, and opened her strong jaws in a yawn, revealing sharp canines. Okay, maybe she was tired. She did not want to fall asleep though, just rest her eyes. So she closed them. Resting.

His alablaster serrated fangs flashed as he yawned once more. He weaved through the tall grass his verteral column bending and his muscles rippling through his fur. He turned and looked around and spotted Kina the new medic recruit. "Hey Kina, so what do you think?" His ear twitched. So simple, what a conversation starter. he thought.

"..Think.. Of what sir?" she stood, a bit weary from staying in such a resting position for a while. "..The pack?" she inquired. The female stretched a bit, moving her cranium from side to side and shifted her oddly-sized paws. Finally, standing at attention, the large mass of fur that was her tail, curled around her. At the top of her head, her ears acting as radars, rotating to hear everything going around her.
